The highest powerplay score in IPL 2023 was also 85 runs. In that match, Rajasthan Royals hammered 85 runs against SRH. Aside from this, there were other teams that scored big in the first six overs of their innings.

Highest Powerplay Score in 2008

The highest powerplay score in IPL 2008, which was the inaugural edition of the league, was 78 runs by Mumbai Indians against Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium. MI eventually went on to win the match. However, while the record was significant at the time, presently it does not feature in the top 10 IPL powerplay highest score, which we look at in the next section.
