However, it was Mayank Yadav’s exceptional bowling that changed the game. He bowled with sheer pace, rattling RCB’s batting lineup and helping LSG secure two points.
Yadav’s spell included the fastest delivery of the season at 156.7kmph. He took key wickets, including those of Maxwell and Green, to restrict RCB to 153 all out. Naveen-Ul-Haq also contributed with 2-25.

De Kock and Stoinis had earlier built a solid partnership for LSG, but RCB fought back with tight bowling in the middle overs. Pooran’s aggressive hitting in the final overs, including five sixes, boosted Lucknow’s total.
Chasing a fairly challenging total, RCB got off to a decent start with Kohli scoring 22. However, they lost wickets at regular intervals, struggling against the Super Giants bowlers. Mahipal Lomror’s quickfire 39 and Mohammed Siraj’s late hitting were not enough as RCB fell short in their IPL 2024 encounter.
