The experienced Mohit Sharma mixed his variations well with slower deliveries and cutters, restricting SRH to 162/8 in 20 overs. Meanwhile, Azmatullah Omarzai, Rashid Khan, Noor Ahmad, and Umesh Yadav picked up a wicket apiece.

Chasing 163 runs to win, Sudarshan scored 45 off 36 balls while Miller remained unbeaten on 44 off 27 balls. The pair remained calm even when SRH seemed to have an advantage in the match. The two then guided GT to victory in the final over. For the Sunrisers, all of their top seven batters scored more than 15 runs, although no one could go past 30. Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans saw their top four batters score more than 25 runs.

In the first innings, Travis Head and Mayank Agarwal started off well, but Gujarat Titans fought back, limiting SRH’s scoring. Despite some good hits from Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen, the Sunrisers were not able to set a high target.
