Australia’s opening batsmen, Steve Smith and Mathew Short, started well against bowlers Arshdeep Singh and Prasidh Krishna. However, Ravi Bishnoi changed the game by quickly getting rid of Short and the dangerous Josh Inglis. At one point, it looked like the visitors would be able to get close to the target. However, they were unable to stitch together partnerships.
Marcus Stoinis and Tim David then played some aggressive shots, forming a partnership of 81 runs for Australia. Bishnoi took David’s wicket in the 14th over. David scored 37 runs from 22 balls with four boundaries and two sixes before finally being dismissed.
Mukesh Kumar also contributed, dismissing Stoinis for 45 runs off 25 balls, including two boundaries and four sixes. Although Mathew Wade scored 42 runs, Australia couldn’t win the match. The third match of the T20I series will be played on November 28.
