On the other hand, Austria secured their spot in a third consecutive EURO tournament by clinching a 1-0 victory in Baku. Marcel Sabitzer’s penalty early in the second half made the difference in a hard-fought match. The Bayern midfielder calmly slotted the ball into the net shortly after coming on as a substitute. Despite the hosts hitting the woodwork late in the game, Ralf Rangnick’s team held on. Austria ended the match with ten men as Guido Burgstaller received a second yellow card in added time.

So far, Austria, France, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, Scotland, and Turkiye have all secured their spots at UEFA EURO 2024.
