During the opening day of the third Test in Leeds, Robinson suffered a back injury that prevented him from bowling against Australia. However, England managed to secure a narrow three-wicket victory, keeping the series alive.

The International Cricket Council’s official website mentions Robinson as stating, “Sometimes these things happen, but they can also heal quickly. I am 100 percent fit for Manchester. The medical team believes it may have occurred because I played back-to-back Test matches and bowled 15 overs of bouncers at Lord’s.” In terms of wicket-taking, Robinson’s teammate Stuart Broad has outperformed him in the Ashes series thus far, claiming 16 wickets compared to Robinson’s 10.

Following England’s impressive display in Headingley, where Mark Wood and Chris Woakes delivered standout performances to reduce the series deficit to 2-1, Stuart Broad appears to be the preferred seamer due to his recent success against Australian opener David Warner.

Meanwhile, experienced bowler James Anderson and emerging seamer Josh Tongue have also been utilised by England throughout the series and are part of the 14-player squad for the crucial fourth Test.
