India are on the brink of securing a spot in the semifinals of the SAFF U-16 Championship 2023. However, their focus is solely on their final Group A match against Nepal, with the goal of topping the group.

India began their campaign with a 1-0 win against Bangladesh and are scheduled to face Nepal at the Changlimithang Stadium. The Indian team currently lead Group A with three points from one game and have a goal difference of +1, thanks to their 1-0 win over Bangladesh in the opening match.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh have climbed up the table after defeating Nepal 1-0. A draw or a win against Nepal will secure India the top spot in the group, although a loss could complicate matters. Despite various scenarios, India’s primary aim is to secure three points to maintain their winning streak.

India’s coach Ishfaq Ahmed had closely monitored the match between Nepal and Bangladesh and is of the opinion that the former have significant potential against his team. In Bhutan, the India U-16 team had undergone intense training sessions and valuable recovery sessions in recent days.
