Real Madrid risk losing injured Carvajal for a month

Both Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are at risk of losing important defenders for about a month in La Liga. Real Madrid right-back Dani Carvajal was injured during their match against Granada and will be out of action due to a left calf injury. This means he will miss several La Liga games and other important matches. But if he recovers as expected, he could return to play in the Spanish Supercup in January 2024.

Carvajal joins a list of injured players at Real Madrid, including Courtois, Militao, Camavinga, and Tchouameni. The team can use Lucas Vazquez or Nacho Fernandez to cover for his absence in La Liga.

For Barcelona, defender Inigo Martinez also suffered an injury in his right hamstring before their game against Atletico Madrid. Tests confirmed the injury, and it’s unlikely that he’ll return to play before the end of the year.

This setback affects the 32-year-old defender, who had secured a place in Xavi Hernandez’s starting lineup and recently made a return to the Spain national team due to his impressive performances in the past month.
