Real Madrid lead La Liga after 1-0 win over Mallorca

Real Madrid finished the first half of the season leading La Liga with 48 points following a tough 1-0 win over Mallorca at their home ground.

Antonio Rudiger’s header from Luka Modric’s corner in the 78th minute secured the win for Madrid, who struggled against Mallorca’s strong defense. Mallorca had close chances in the first half, hitting the woodwork through Antoinio Sanchez and Samu Costa. Madrid’s Brahim also hit the bar with a header. Despite the game being tight, Real Madrid kept pressing, and Rudiger’s header brought relief to their fans at Santiago Bernabeu.

In another match, Girona won 4-3 at home against Atletico Madrid, despite Alvaro Morata scoring a fantastic hat-trick for Atletico.
