Bellingham’s stellar La Liga scoring streak continues, Madrid win 1-0 at Celta Vigo

Jude Bellingham’s impressive run in La Liga continued, as he scored his fourth goal in three matches, guiding Real Madrid to a 1-0 win against Celta Vigo. With this, Madrid have secured their third consecutive victory in the Spanish league.

Real Madrid’s standout acquisition for the season scored in their initial 2-0 victory win Athletic Bilbao and managed a brace in their 3-1 win over Almeria.

The English midfielder made the move from Borussia Dortmund to Madrid in a 130-million-euro ($142 million) transfer during the summer. During his short time in Spain, he is already becoming a force to be reckoned with, demonstrating his value.

During the match in Vigo, Bellingham moved into the area and headed home the decisive goal in the 81st minute. His goal secured the win against Celta, which had missed several opportunities.

Bellingham’s goal was set up by Joselu Mato, who came on for Vinicius Junior in the 16th minute due to an apparent leg injury suffered by the Brazilian forward. Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said that Vinicius will undergo tests to determine the extent of his injury.

In the 68th minute, Celta’s goalkeeper Ivan Villar thwarted Rodrygo’s penalty attempt, after fouling the forward in the box, following a pass from Bellingham. Two minutes later, Iago Aspas had a chance to score for the hosts but missed the target with his shot. Celta’s American player, Luca de la Torre, received medical attention on the pitch and was later substituted.

Newly signed Kepa Arrizabalaga started for Madrid in goal, while Andriy Lunin returned to the bench. Kepa’s inclusion aimed to compensate for the absence of the injured regular starter Thibaut Courtois.
