GT is also coming off a defeat, losing to Delhi by five runs in a low-scoring match at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Gujarat captain Hardik Pandya scored an unbeaten 59, but Mohammed Shami’s four-wicket haul and veteran Ishant Sharma’s tight 12-run over secured the win for Delhi. Ishant and Khaleel Ahmed both took two wickets for Delhi.
In their last encounter, RR defeated GT by three wickets in a close game. Gill scored 45 off 34 balls and Miller hit 46 runs in 30 balls for GT, while Abhinav Manohar contributed 27 runs in 17 balls. For RR, Sandeep Sharma took two wickets, while Trent Boult, Adam Zampa, and Yuzvendra Chahal each took one wicket. RR successfully chased the target of 178, with Sanju Samson scoring 60 off 32 balls, and Shimron Hetmyer unbeaten on 56 off 26 balls. Out of the four times the two teams have played, Gujarat has won three, and Rajasthan has won only once.
