However, this date clashes with the first day of the Navaratri festival, also on October 15, and the local police have expressed concerns about managing security on that day.

A source familiar with the matter revealed that a discussion about the potential change in the date of the India-Pakistan World Cup match is likely to take place during the meeting in New Delhi.

The announcement of the 2023 Men’s ODI World Cup schedule took place nearly a month ago, on June 27, in Mumbai. If the India-Pakistan match is rescheduled, it could impact the overall World Cup schedule, particularly as October 14 is currently a double-header day in the tournament.

On October 14, defending champions England are scheduled to play Afghanistan in a day match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, while New Zealand will face Bangladesh in a day-night game at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
