Jadeja became only the second Indian spinner to achieve a five-wicket haul in World Cup history. Yuvraj Singh was the first to do so in 2011 against Ireland.

Mohammed Shami also played a pivotal role, taking two wickets by removing Aiden Markram (6) and Rassie van der Dussen (13). Kuldeep Yadav contributed with two wickets as well, sending Marco Jansen (14) and Luni Ngidi (0) back to the pavilion.

With this win, India extended their winning streak to eight matches in the World Cup 2023, maintaining an undefeated record with one more game remaining against the Netherlands. India currently holds 16 points from eight games and is the sole unbeaten team in the tournament.
