Italy, Czechia, and Slovenia are the newest teams to secure spots in UEFA EURO 2024. With their qualification, 20 out of the 24 teams that will be playing at the EURO 2024 finals are now confirmed.
The team that won the last EURO, Italy, secured their place in the finals by finishing second in Group C, ahead of Ukraine, with a draw in Leverkusen.

During the match, Italy had more chances to score in the first half. Federico Chiesa and Nicolò Barella came close to scoring, and Davide Frattesi had an opportunity, but goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin stopped his attempt.
Ukraine had chances to score during their fast attacks, but Italy’s goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma stopped their attempts. Donnarumma made a crucial save in the second half, preventing Mykhailo Mudryk from scoring. Now, Ukraine will go to the play-offs.
It’s notable that Ukraine stopped Italy from scoring in the EURO qualifying, which hadn’t happened in 34 matches since Northern Ireland in 2010.

Meanwhile, Czechia secured the second spot in Group E by defeating Moldova 3-0. With this, they ensured their participation in their eighth consecutive EURO finals. Czechia scored early in the game, and Moldova’s chances decreased after Vladislav Baboglo was sent off. Czechia added more goals later on.
Slovenia won against Kazakhstan 2-1, qualifying for the UEFA EURO finals for the second time, previously achieving this in 2000.
Slovenia needed a draw to secure second place in Group H. After dominating possession in the first half they grabbed the lead from the spot when Benjamin Sesko slotted home.

Kazakhstan gave themselves hope as Ramazan Orazov netted his first international goal early in the second half, but Slovenia weathered the storm and substitute Verbic curled home late on to send his nation to Germany, while the battling visitors now head for the play-offs.
