Arsenal and Tottenham played out a thrilling 2-2 draw in their English Premier League North London derby. From either side, Bukayo Saka and Son Heung-Min both performed brilliantly.
The outcome represents a minor setback for Arsenal but highlights Tottenham’s progress this season under the guidance of Ange Postecoglou. Arsenal took the lead in the 26th minute when Bukayo Saka’s left-footed strike deflected off Cristian Romero and nestled into the net. Nevertheless, just before halftime, Son equalised for the visiting team.

Saka once again put Arsenal in front in the 54th minute, converting a penalty after Romero was adjudged to have handled the ball. However, within a minute, Son scored his second goal of the match, levelling the scoreline, following a turnover by Jorginho under pressure from James Maddison.
Aston Villa secured a 1-0 away win against Chelsea, further highlighting the latter’s underwhelming start under the management of Mauricio Pochettino. Ollie Watkins found the net from a tight angle in the 73rd minute. Earlier, Chelsea were reduced to 10 men in the 58th minute when Malo Gusto received a red card for a challenge on Lucas Digne. Despite opportunities, Chelsea couldn’t find the back of the net.

Liverpool maintained their unbeaten record this season, defeating a resilient West Ham United 3-1 at home. Mohamed Salah opened the scoring for Liverpool from the penalty spot in the 16th minute. But Jarrod Bowen levelled for West Ham in the 40th minute. Darwin Nunez added another goal for Liverpool in the 60th minute. The match remained closely contested until Diogo Jota sealed the win with a goal five minutes from time.
Brighton rebounded from their Europa League loss, securing a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth at home. Despite Dominic Solanke giving Bournemouth an early lead, an own goal by Milos Kerkez in first-half stoppage time levelled the contest. Kaoru Mitoma, who came on as a substitute at the start of the second half, made an instant impact, scoring just 16 seconds in and adding another goal with 13 minutes remaining.

Newcastle demolished Sheffield United 8-0 at Bramall Lane, their most significant away win and Sheffield’s heaviest home defeat. By halftime, Sean Longstaff, Dan Burn, and Sven Botman had all scored goals. The onslaught continued in the second half, with Callum Wilson, Anthony Gordon, Miguel Almiron, Bruno Guimaraes, and Alexander Isak all adding to Sheffield’s misery.
Manchester City remain at the top of the table with six wins in as many matches, securing a 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest. Early goals from Phil Foden and Erling Haaland saw the side through. Rodri was shown a red card early in the second half for a foul on Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White, but City adjusted their formation and comfortably saw out the match.

Bruno Fernandes’s volley just before halftime ensured a 1-0 win for Manchester United against Burnley. Jonny Evans provided the assist, although he had previously seen a goal disallowed for offside.
James Tarkowski played a crucial role in Everton’s 3-1 victory over Brentford, their first win of the season. The defender assisted Abdoulaye Doucoure’s early goal and later scored a header. After Mathias Jensen equalised for Brentford, Dominic Calvert-Lewin secured the win for Everton in the 71st minute.

Luton Town is still searching for their first win after a 1-1 draw against Wolves, who played with 10 men for over 50 minutes following Jean-Ricner Bellegarde’s red card. Wolves took the lead with a solo effort from Pedro Neto early in the second half. However, Carlton Morris scored the equaliser from the penalty spot after a handball decision against Joao Gomes.
Crystal Palace and Fulham played out a goalless draw in another English Premier League game. Palace’s goalkeeper Sam Johnstone made several crucial saves to secure a point for his team.
