Everton won 3-0 against Newcastle in the Premier League, which helped them get out of the relegation zone. The team had been put in the bottom three because they broke the financial rules and got a 10-point penalty. However, Everton responded well by winning two games in a row. Now, they’re in 17th place, and just one point above the zone where teams get relegated.

The goals in the second half were scored by Dwight McNeil, Abdoulaye Doucoure, and Beto. McNeil’s shot, Doucoure’s goal, and Beto’s score in the last minutes sealed Everton’s victory at Goodison Park.
Newcastle, who beat Manchester United last week, missed a chance to get close to fourth-place Manchester City. McNeil’s goal in the 79th minute put Everton in the lead. Doucoure scored again seven minutes later, and Beto made it 3-0 in extra time.
If Everton hadn’t got the 10-point penalty, they would be in 10th place and only six points behind Newcastle. But because of the deduction, even after their win on Thursday, they’re 10 places below Newcastle in the league standings.

Newcastle had previously won against Manchester United but couldn’t keep up their good performance away from home at Goodison. Eddie Howe’s team had a tough time with 11 main players injured. They have won only one game away from home this season, against Sheffield United with a massive 8-0 win.
Newcastle had chances to score, but Tarkowski’s block stopped Bruno Guimaraes, and Alexander Isak missed a header from close range. Later, as Newcastle’s players looked weary, captain Jamaal Lascelles got injured and had to leave the field. An in-form Arsenal currently lead the standings in the English Premier League.
