Bayer Leverkusen, Stuttgart draw 1-1 in Bundesliga match

Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart played out a 1-1 draw in their Bundesliga match after some exciting moments. Chris Fuhrich scored first for Stuttgart before Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz equalized. Stuttgart began strongly, giving Leverkusen a tough time. Despite some good chances, Fuhrich and Joshua Vagnoman couldn’t score early.

Leverkusen had a close chance in the 9th minute when Amine Adli’s shot hit the goal frame after a precise pass from Viktor Boniface. Boniface continued to play well but couldn’t beat Stuttgart’s goalkeeper Alexander Nubel in the 24th minute. Both teams had chances, but Leverkusen’s goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky stopped attempts from Serhou Guirassy and Fuhrich.

However, Hradecky couldn’t prevent Fuhrich from scoring for Stuttgart in the 40th minute after a pass from Vagnoman. Leverkusen quickly leveled the game after the break when Wirtz, assisted by Boniface, scored the equalizer.

Bundesliga leaders Leverkusen had a chance to take the lead, but Granit Xhaka’s shot hit the right goalpost. This result keeps Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the standings, four points ahead. Third-placed Stuttgart missed a chance to go ahead of defending champions Bayern Munich.

In another Bundesliga match, Cologne and Mainz played out a goalless draw.
